Aleksander Hyżorek is a lawyer. His research interests include law and administrative proceedings, public economic law, and real estate law. He examines administrative decision making, the attitude of public administration towards citizens and entrepreneurs, suability of administrative acts in administrative courts, and public administration procedures and ways of working.
Apart from teaching at SWPS University in Poznań, he works for one of the leading legal firms in Poland, where he specializes in administrative law. He provides legal counsel to major economic entities concerning mergers and acquisitions (M&A), in particular the succession of public-legal rights and obligations and the overall administrative-legal services.
As an expert and commentator, Aleksander collaborated with Prawo.pl, an online legal service, and the leading Polish dailies (i.e., Rzeczpospolita and Gazeta Wyborcza).
At SWPS University, he teaches classes in administrative and court-administrative proceedings, public economic law, and soft skills deemed indispensable in the legal profession. He is also a member of the Faculty Council.
