Anna Braniecka is a clinical psychologist and an expert in treating mental health disorders and psychopathology. Apart from working at SWPS University's Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw she collaborates with the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw where she treats patients suffering from depression and other mood disorders.
Her research interests revolve around topics common to clinical psychology and psychology of emotions, in particular, prophylaxis of mood disorders, improvement of the quality of life, and increased happiness. She researches mixed emotions and the impact of nostalgic feelings on the process of adaptation in life changing events. She also investigates how humor impacts emotion regulation in people prone to depression.
