Marcin Zaborski, Ph.D., is a political scientist and journalist. His research interests include social and political communication, politics of history and collective memory, in particular in relation to memorial sites and museum exhibitions. He also researches historical publications for children, such as pre-World War II magazines.
As a journalist, he works for TVN24, a Polish 24-hour commercial news channel. He also hosted radio programs for Poland’s Public Broadcaster, namely Polish Radio 3 (2000-2016) and TVP History (2015-2016, and for a commercial radio station RMF FM (2016-2021).
He published in Dziennik. Gazeta Prawna, a Polish daily devoted to legal and business matters, and the Polish edition of Newsweek Psychology. He authored several books, including Biuro Myśli Znalezionych (Office of the Lost and Found Thoughts) (2013), Lato'39. Jeszcze żyjemy (Summer of 1939. We are Still Alive) (2019), and co-authored, with Magda Umer, Piekielna nieobecność. Opowieść o przyjaźni z Zuzią Łapicką (A Hellish Absence. The Story of Friendship with Zuzia Łapicka) (2019).
At SWPS University, he teaches classes in practical radio skills, interview skills, and journalistic ethics. He is also a thesis advisor.
