Communication expert. In his academic work he focuses on disciplines and competencies that enable better understanding and harmonious shaping of surrounding reality. He is especially interested in the systems theory, constructivism and cognitive linguistics.
In his research, he concentrates on analyzing problems related to social communication, the latest design trends, social functions of advertising and design, inter-cultural communication, and the role of science in social contexts.
Recipient of grants from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, a self-governing organization for science and research in Germany. Professor at the Institute of Slavonic Studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and Ruhr-University Bochum.
Author of numerous publications, incluidng: Typologia komunikacji (Typology of Communication) (2012), Communication Design czyli projektowanie komunikacji (Communication Design) (2010), and 3 prawa komunikacji, 1 definicja. Design (3 Laws of Communication, 1 Definition. Design) (2009). Coauthor of Słownik polszczyzny rzeczywistej (Dictionary of Real Polish Language) (2011), containing his research results on the use of explaitives in Polish.
He is Editor in Chief of the Communication Design Magazine and a book series Projektowanie Komunikacji (Communication Design).
At SWPS University, he teaches advertising, visual communication, corporate identity and design.
