Profile

Professor Paweł Pyrka is a philologist and cultural researcher. He graduated from the Institute of English Studies at the University of Warsaw. He successfully defended a doctoral thesis on the cultural contexts surrounding the development of popular literature in the United States during the early 20th century.

His research interests include popular literature, with a focus on speculative fiction, interactive narratives, and the cultural representations and meanings of technology.
