Piotr Zagórski, Ph.D., holds a doctoral degree in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He specializes in comparative political science.
Dr. Zagórski researches voting behavior, in particular the impact of historical legacy on voting turnout, and motivation of voters favoring populist parties in Europe. He is a member of a research team in a project Polish National Election Study.
Piotr is a recipient of AECPA 2022 award (Spanish Association of Political and Administrative Science) for the best doctoral thesis in the political science category. The thesis also received an honorable mention in the 2022 Juan Linz competition, organized by the Spanish Center for Political and Constitutional Studies (CEPC).
He has published articles in various academic journals, including Government and Opposition, Political Studies Review, Politics, and East European Politics and Societies.
