Faculty of Design in Warsaw

The Department of Material Design employs acclaimed Polish designers and architects, including Oscar Zięta, Maciej Siuda, and Jolanta Starzak. Head of the Department: Izabela Bołoz.

What we do

Designers and architects

The Department of Material Design is a part of SWPS University’s Faculty of Design in Warsaw.

Members of our department design ceramics, furniture, spatial installations, interiors, and buildings. We are brought together by our interest in the physical and tangible aspects of design. While designing, researching, and teaching, we focus on materials, and their machining and shaping processes. We also investigate how different materials impact users.
