Profile
Sylwia Stachowiak holds a doctoral degree in engineering, in the discipline of information and communication technology. She specializes in formal methods of researching network and computer security systems, in particular methods of cryptanalysis of a certain class of symmetric ciphers, where she applies computational techniques used in solving Boolean satisfiability problems (SAT).
In 2020, she contributed to a research project carried out by the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) that aimed to develop and test a secure communication protocol, commissioned by the Warsaw Stock Exchange S.A.. The project was funded by the National Centre for Research and Development (project no. POIR.01.01.01-00-0829/18-00).
At SWPS University she teaches classes in cryptography, number theory, logic, set theory, discrete mathematics, algorithms, and data structures.
