Patent and Design Awards for Students of School of Form

With the help of SWPS University, Ladan’s and Mohammad’s flagship product, “Wild Cook”, was patented, and an application for an industrial design protection has been submitted for their “Icy Galaxy” ice mold. Moreover, both products have received multiple awards at international design competitions.

Wild Cook

Foodies know that smoking food at home usually entails making a big mess. To solve this problem, Ladan and Mohammad designed Wild Cook, a device for making smoked dishes and drinks. It comes with a few accessories that speed up the process and make cooking a breeze. Special Wild Cook Capsules, which are filled with natural aromatics and come in different flavors, such as fruit, wood, spices, and vegetables, are warmed up in the Wild Cook. Then the smoke is released and it fills the pot that holds cooking ingredients, imbuing the food with the selected aroma. Wild Cook was awarded an IF Design Seal in 2020, in the Professional Concept category. While in 2019, the product received a Bronze A’Design Award for the device, the capsule and related marketing communication.

Icy Galaxy

It seems that with Icy Galaxy Ladan and Mohammad have managed to achieve something impossible, like putting a round peg into the square hole. They have managed to improve on a tried and true square ice cube, by designing a spherical ice mold with spiral indentations that evoke the Milky Way. Apart from being beautiful, Icy Galaxy offers a larger cooling surface, which shortens the cooling time of a liquid. Additionally, it uses much less water to achieve the same cooling effect as the traditional ice cube. Icey Galaxy won a 2020 A’Design Award.
