The choice of university that would provide good education, ensure personal development, and prepare a young person for a future career, is an important decision. Nowadays, candidates may select among thousands of universities and programs not only in their own countries but also abroad. Therefore, the latest report published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, indicating that SWPS University is the most popular non-public higher education institution in Poland, among students applying to full-time programs, makes us very proud.
Year over year, enrollment in non-public higher education institutions in Poland has been growing. This confirms their increasing significance in the education sector in the country. According to the latest report published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW), close to 430,000 people began university studies in Poland in 2020/2021. Among those 129,000, as much as 30 percent, chose non-public institutions.
For another consecutive year, SWPS University took the top place among non-public universities in the country. For many years, our full-time programs have been enjoying a growing popularity among Polish and international candidates. In October 2020, SWPS University admitted 5,189 students to undergraduate and five-year integrated Master’s Degree programs, which is 25 percent more than other universities in the category. Moreover, 3,921 people enrolled in our part-time programs, which placed us in the top 5 among the most popular non-public higher education institutions in the country.
Thanks to a variety of programs in English, SWPS University is also popular among international students. Currently, close to 1,200 international students from over 60 countries study in our five campuses.

Apart from the overall university rankings, the MNiSW report includes information on most popular study programs in Poland. Computer studies rank at the top of the list (over 33,500 students), psychology (over 29,000), management (over 25,000), and law (19,000 students) follow. Additionally, English Studies, favored by close to 12,500 people, are among the top ten programs.
Candidates may find all these programs at SWPS University. We are a leader among universities offering programs in Psychology. Our position is confirmed by the highest rating granted by the Polish Accreditation Committee, and the third place in the ranking of all higher education institution in Poland, conducted by Perspektywy, a Polish influential monthly magazine devoted to educational affairs. Internationally, our Psychology is ranked among top 300 programs in the 2020 Subject Ranking of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (i.e. Shanghai Ranking).
Additionally this year, in cooperation with the best specialists in the IT sector, such as Linux Poland, we have launched a new program, Psychologia i Informatyka (Psychology and Computer Science), which offers two specializations, including UX Research and Design and Psychology of Artificial Intelligence.
We also offer undergraduate and graduate Management studies with an innovative, project-based program, which provides students with an opportunity to work on actual solutions with our business partners. Furthermore, the program includes a series of inspirational meetings with renowned business leaders of successful organizations, who share their experience, good practices, and the latest know-how with our students.
SWPS University also excels in Law studies. In a recent ranking by Perspektywy, we have placed among the top three higher education institutions in Poland offering law programs, together with the University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Our students often win international competitions.
Moreover, our Language studies enjoy enduring popularity, especially the programs that combine intensive learning of two languages, such as English Studies with Chinese or English Studies with Spanish. These programs are often favored by international students who currently constitute close to 35 percent of all full-time students in the English Studies program.
