Organizers: Department of Journalism and Communication, SWPS University
Akademia Sztuki Wojennej

Disinformation has become ubiquitous in the era of the Internet. The coronavirus pandemic, as a global disruptive event, has created favorable conditions for proliferation of fake news. This poses a potential threat to national and global security. The online conference, co-organized by SWPS University’s Department of Journalism and Communication and Akademia Sztuki Wojennej (War Studies University) in Warsaw, will take a closer look at the challenges and issues posed by disinformation in the era of a global pandemic. The conference has been organized under the auspices of Demagog, a fact checking organization.
