The goal of the project is to strengthen collaboration between Ukrainian partner universities and university members of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), and support Ukrainian students, academics, and the society in developing their academic capabilities and coping with the trauma of the ongoing war.

Project objectives
SWPS University is undertaking initiatives geared towards achieving its long-term international strategy concerning education provided in collaboration between the ERUA Alliance and partner universities in Ukraine. This project encompasses studio visits and participation of the Ukrainian partners in workshops taking place at the ERUA Academic Innovation Laboratory.
The goal of this cooperation is to support the students, academics, and the Ukrainian society, who have been affected by the war. The cooperation between the ERUA Alliance and the Ukrainian partners focuses on the mobility of students and academic and administrative staff. As part of its activities within the framework of ERUA, throughout 2024, SWPS University will work towards creating appropriate conditions, which would enable short-term visits of students and staff from the Ukrainian partner universities.
Next goal is to engage the Ukrainian partner universities in initiatives and workshops concerning innovative teaching and learning capabilities. Through the planned tasks, SWPS University will work towards strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian universities and universities located in the member states of the European Union. The expansion of the international research cooperation network constitutes the foundation for the joint projects in the upcoming years.
Project deliverables
The project will include the following tasks:
- Short-term studio visits of the academic and administrative staff from the Ukrainian partner universities to USWPS and other member universities of the ERUA Alliance.
- Participation of Ukrainian students in a summer school, organized during the 2023/2024 academic year, at USWPS and another member university of the ERUA Alliance.
- Participation of the selected Ukrainian universities in workshops focused on academic innovations, organized by the ERUA Academic Innovation Laboratory.
- Organization of three (3) webinars concerning psychological support for the Ukrainian community for:
- Persons providing various types of help to Ukrainians in Poland
- Ukrainians working with Poles
- NGOs – focused on recommendations for helping Ukrainian refugees
- Teachers and psychologists working with children who have experienced the trauma of war.
- Joint conference for the Ukrainian partner universities and university members of the ERUA Alliance, organized at SWPS University.

Practical application of results
The project will help to:
- Develop a link between the Ukrainian universities, the ERUA Alliance, and European universities
- Establish a direct collaboration network between representatives of the Ukrainian universities and members of the ERUA Alliance
- Enable exchange of information and resources between the universities
- Support the academic community in Ukraine and develop academic skills of the Ukrainian lecturers and students (summer schools) in the area of academic innovations.
- Enable exchange of experience, points of view, and ideas concerning innovative teaching and learning capabilities, and collaboration during future joint teaching and research projects.
- Provide psychological support for the Ukrainian community in the face of the ongoing war.
- Improve visibility of the ERUA Alliance through promotional activities.
