Adam Kowalik is a manager and a business consultant, analyst and trainer with 20-years of professional experience gained in Poland and internationally. He specializes in competitive strategy, market intelligence, business development, product management, and executive education. He has gained practical managerial experience while working for numerous Polish companies in various industries.
Adam obtained his Master’s and doctoral degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He was awarded scholarships provided by the Fulbright Commission in the USA, and CEMS, a global alliance of leading business schools, in Norway.
He began his professional career at Plus, a Polish mobile network operator, where he was responsible for knowledge management (2001-2006). He also worked at Ernst & Young (EY) as Strategic Market Intelligence Director (2006-2016). For the past several years, he has been running his own consulting business – OUTSMART.
Since 2018, Dr. Kowalik has been teaching at SWPS University as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management. He also was the Head of the Department of Management and the Coordinator of the graduate Management and Leadership Program. He is experienced in creating development programs for managers. He shares his knowledge and experience at international conferences.
In 2012, Adam founded the Polish branch of a professional volunteer organization Strategic & Competitive Intelligence Professionals, which he led until 2015.
Additionally, he is a licensed detective, and an expert witness specializing in business and market risk.
