Dr. Agnieszka Kwiatkowska is a sociologist and political scientist. She researches political behaviors, transformation of social values, social movements, and political parties. She specializes in quantitative research methods in social sciences and designs and analyzes polls.
Between 2014 and 2018, she held the position of Director for Research at the Polish Psychologists’ Association in London, UK. She participated in dozens of research and evaluation projects conducted in collaboration with academic and business organizations, NGOs, think-tanks, and media outlets, such as: the London Metropolitan University, Place 2 Be, PBS, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (a non-profit German political foundation funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany), the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Poland), the Adam Smith Research Center, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung (a green political foundation), FINA (the Polish National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute), the Sobieski Institute, and the European Commission. Dr. Kwiatkowska is a researcher at the Youth Research Center at SWPS University.
Currently, she is Principal Investigator on a research project “Institutionalization of political parties in the parliaments of Central Europe - data mining of parliamentary debates” (2020–2023, Opus funding scheme, provided by the National Science Centre). In this project she researches how new political issues enter political discourse, what political parties introduce these topics, which parties exert the strongest impact on other political groups, and what factors indicate a disintegration of political parties. Additionally, Dr. Kwiatkowska is a researcher in a project “ULTRAGEN: Wchodzenie w dorosłość w czasach ultra-niepewności: międzypokoleniowa teoria 'rozedrganych' tranzycji” (ULTRAGEN: Entering adulthood in the era of ultra-uncertainty: intergenerational theory of “shaky” transitions).
At SWPS University, she teaches classes in statistics, research methodology, aspects of international social and economic research, data analysis and visualization, and political systems.
