School of Ideas Student Research Club

Faculty of Humanities in Warsaw

The School of Ideas Student Research Club brings together students interested in carrying out interdisciplinary research projects, broadening their knowledge and perfecting skills related to designing social innovations. Members of the Club organize webinars for fellow students and participate in small research projects carried out in collaboration with business partners. Alina Landowska, Ph.D. is the Club’s supervisor.

Mission

To develop a recognizable student organization, where student engagement brings measurable results through implementation of common goals.

Vision

To ignite student interest in research, pursuit of education, and popularization of knowledge among fellow students and beyond the student community.

Values

Our members are characterized by openness, curiosity, courage, responsibility, and most of all respect for others.

Goals

  • Innovation design – to integrate students around interdisciplinary cultural, social and business projects using external sources of financing.
  • Networking – To enable exchange of knowledge and experience. To encourage students to develop a beneficial network of mentors and project partners.
  • Adaptation and integration – to help first year students of School of Ideas to adapt and integrate in the academic environment.
  • Research and development – to expand knowledge and perfect skills related to the design of innovations.

Action Plans

  • #SOILAB
    To carry out small research projects in collaboration with business partners or partners in the community and produce project reports.
  • #SOI.INTEGRA
    To organize student meetings aimed at integrating students of the School of Ideas, including cultural-social outings, and evaluation of processes
  • #SOIMEET
    To organize thematic webinars with the participation of guests, who will present new research frontiers.

Aneta is a humanist with a passion for art and sciences. She is a tutor who develops workshops for children. She values interdisciplinary approach to research, who searches for a wider perspective in her interests and research projects. She firmly believes that scientific disciplines should not be separated. She is interested in post-colonialism and its effects. In her spare time she likes to travel, in particular she likes culinary tourism.

Izabela is a student of School of Form. She is the Research Club’s Social Media Manager. Her strengths include creativity, openness, curiosity, and perseverance in goal attainment. She is not afraid to undertake new challenges! She is interested in new technologies, social media, Artificial Intelligence. She also enjoys working on group projects. In her spare time develops her cake-making skills. She makes artistic cakes and desserts. She is also passionate about travel, discovering new tastes and unknown destinations.
