Researchers and designers working at the Department of Design Theory and Research represent various disciplines. Head of the Department: Monika Rosińska, Ph.D./Assistant Professor, a sociologist who researches design and contemporary design practices.

What we do

Interdisciplinary collaborations

The Department of Design Theory and Research includes experts specializing in ethnology, cultural studies, and sociology. They create new knowledge in the disciplines of humanities and social sciences, and develop innovative research approaches to better understand the challenges that contemporary design faces. The Department relies on interdisciplinary collaborations in teaching, research, and artistic endeavors.
