According to the university admissions report, published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, SWPS University enjoys the highest enrollment among non-public higher education institutions that offer full-time studies, in Poland. We have been ranked number one in this category for the 6th consecutive year.
The 2017/2018 admissions report indicates that the popularity of SWPS University remains high among university candidates enrolling in full time studies and professional education and training programs. This year, SWPS University in Warsaw has welcomed 3051 freshmen, while the overall first year enrollment, including all five campuses, has amounted to 3651. Close to 52 percent of the first year students have opted for full-time programs, which is twice as many than in other non-public universities.
We are also very happy to note that the number of international students choosing SWPS University is steadily growing. This year, we welcomed 338 new students from 49 countries. Including Australia, Belarus, China, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Great Britain, India, Norway, the Philippines, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States.
Over the past twenty two years, SWPS University has become a major education and research center in Poland. This position is cemented by the high scores achieved in the parametric evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the right to grant doctoral and post-doctoral (habilitacja) degrees, diverse research projects, prestigious awards granted to our scholars, numerous publications, and various collaborations with national and international research centers.
This year’s comprehensive evaluation by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has confirmed the strong standing of SWPS University. In this assessment, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in Warsaw, the Katowice and Sopot Faculties of Psychology, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Design in Poznań received category A, which is granted to the best research centers in Poland.
SWPS University is among the top 5 percent of higher education institutions in Poland, which received category A+. Among the social sciences and humanities institutions with the social sciences profile, only three organizations received the highest A+ category, including our Warsaw and Wrocław Faculties of Psychology.
The admissions report also indicates, which programs of study are most popular among candidates applying for undergraduate and five-year integrated Master’s degree studies. In this group, psychology is ranked third and law fifth. SWPS University offers studies in both of these disciplines and our programs achieved high standing in numerous rankings, for example the annual ranking by Perspektywy, a Polish influential magazine devoted to educational affairs.
The report by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education is based on the number of applications to specific undergraduate and five-year integrated Master’s degree study programs, at public and non-public higher education institutions, including full-time and part-time studies, in 2017/2018 academic year.
