East-WEST CONFERENCE ON MATHEMATICS EDUCATION 2017


“Overcoming Barriers” is the main theme of the 2017 international East-West Conference on Mathematics Education. The event, which will take place from the 24th to the 26th of August, at SWPS University in Warsaw, is addressed to teachers, academics and students interested in a variety of issues related to education.

Overcoming Barriers

The topics of the conference revolve around barriers, such as: international barriers in science, barriers between different subjects in education, and international barriers in communication. The focus of the conference also includes various approaches to education that in use in different parts of the world.

The main goal of the conference is to overcome these barriers, through the development of innovative methods of teaching math in relation to other school subjects, while taking advantage of new findings in various scientific, cultural and art disciplines and by employing the best practices developed around the world.

Conference materials will be published in a form of a book with an ISBN number.

  • businesses and institutions that require employees with good mathematical competences

The speakers and workshop leaders will include representatives from Belarus, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, and the United States.
