Warsaw Campus
Building
Our building in Warsaw is well adapted to the needs of persons with various types of disabilities. It is equipped with two elevators, ramps, and accessible washrooms. The doors leading to many rooms, such as classrooms, deans’ or departments’ offices, are marked with the Braille alphabet above the door handles, and are equipped with a call-hear system to facilitate access for persons with mobility limitations.
Free parking
Students with confirmed moderate or severe disabilities may apply for a special parking card entitling them to free parking in front of the university building. There are disabled parking spaces right in front of the main entrance.
Library
The library offers the following accessbility features:
- a computer station equipped with a large print keyboard and a stationary scanner
- specialized software: magnifier/reader and speech synthesizer
- equipment for digitizing printed materials
- a stationary magnifier VISIO+
- BookSense XT – a book player/reader for various text formats
- a mini scanner C-PEN TS1.
Wrocław Campus
Building
Our building in Wrocław is adapted to meet the needs of persons with various disabilities. There is an elevator, a stairlift as well as ramps and accessible restrooms. The doors display room numbers in Braille alphabet above the door handles.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the building, and is free of charge for all students with moderate and severe disabilities.
Library
The library in Wrocław offers the following specialized equipment:
- a computer station equipped with a 28 inch monitor, a ZoomText keyboard and ZoomText Magnifier software
- a headband magnifier Zeno Vizor
- a mini scanner C-PEN TS1.
Kraków Campus
The building
Our building in Kraków offers two elevators, where one is touch and voice-operated. On the ground floor you will find a wheelchair lift, self-served coat room, and the information desk. There is also a toilet for persons with special needs. The campus is equipped with evacuation chairs, mats and soundproof screens. Students have at their disposal a wheelchair, an induction loop, touchscreen laptops, specialized software, portable tablets, scanners, and a 3D printer. In the classrooms, there are special, wheelchair accessible desks.
Parking
Disabled parking spaces are located near the main entrance, which is equipped with automatic sliding doors, and is accessible via a ramp. Another entrance is located close to the student parking.
Library
Our library at the Kraków campus is equipped with touchscreen laptops with ZBrush software, Supernova Reader Magnifier (Lunar Plus), MS Project Standard 2021, and a portable induction loop. There is also a wheelchair accessible desk at the library.
Sopot Campus
Building
We strive to make the Sopot campus as accessible as possible for persons with disabilities. There are accessible toilets and two stairlifts in the building. All doors are marked with Braille alphabet and the offices are equipped with a call-hear system to facilitate access for students with mobility limitations.
We also offer a child play area and a change table for parents with kids.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the building and is free of charge for students with moderate and severe disabilities.
Library
A computer workstation equipped with specialised software (screen reader, speech synthesiser, a Daisy book reader) as well as equipment for converting printed content into electronic form are available in the library.
Poznań Campus
Building
Our building in Poznań is very modern and fully adapted to the needs of persons with various disabilities. There are elevators, ramps and accessible restrooms. There is also a stairlift, which provides studetns with limited mobility to access the library.
Two of the classrooms (rooms 305 and 203) are equipped with inductophone loops to assist hearing aids with built-in inductophone coils. Students have the opportunity to rent a portable FM system (4 pieces) and a wireless CROS system.
The class schedule for persons with disabilities is algined with their capabilities.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the University building and is free of charge. There are also some designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities on the parking lot located on the property of SWPS University.
Library
The library includes:
- a desktop magnifier
- a computer workstation equipped with specialised software (screen reader and speech synthesiser) and equipment for converting printed material into electronic form
- BrailleSense Plus Qwerty notebook
- portable talking book player (4 pieces) - available for rental
Katowice Campus
Building
The following accessibility features are available in our building in Katowice: an elevator, stairlift, ramps, and accessible washrooms. The doors leading to many rooms, such as classrooms, deans’ or departments’ offices, are marked with the Braille alphabet above the door handles. The building is also equipped with a call-hear system, which makes access easier for persons with mobility difficulties.
Parking
Free parking is available in front of the building. There are also some designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities at the parking lot located near an elevator, on the property of SWPS University.
Library
The library in Katowice offers a computer station equipped with a large print keyboard, Optelec Compact+ software, ÖKOLUX plus – magnifier/reader, and a speech synthesizer.
