Warsaw Campus
The building
The building of SWPS University in Warsaw is well adapted to the needs of persons with various types of disabilities. The building has an elevator, ramps and restrooms designed for persons with disabilities. The doors (displaying the numbers of lecture rooms, faculty rooms, dean’s offices and other areas important to students) have Braille markings (above the handles) and are equipped with a call-hear system to facilitate access for persons with mobility limitations.
Free parking cards
Students with certified moderate or severe disability may apply for a special parking card entitling them to free parking in front of the university building. There are marked parking spaces for persons with disabilities right opposite the building’s entrance.
Library
The library includes:
- a computer workstation equipped with specialised software (screen reader, speech synthesiser, magnification tool) and equipment for converting printed material into electronic form
- VISIO+ desktop magnifier
- braille floor plans of the university building which facilitate orientation in space for blind and visually impaired students
- a computer workstation equipped with a hands-free computer mouse
Wrocław Campus
The building
The building of the Wrocław campus of SWPS University is adapted to the needs of persons with various disabilities. The building has an elevator, ramps and restrooms designed for persons with disabilities as well as a stairlift. The doors (displaying the numbers of lecture rooms, faculty rooms, dean’s offices and other areas important to students) have Braille markings above the handles.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the University building and is free of charge for all students with moderate and severe disabilities.
Library
A computer workstation equipped with specialised software (screen reader, speech synthesiser, a Daisy book reader) as well as equipment for converting printed material into electronic form is available in the library.
Poznań Campus
The building
The building of the Poznan campus of SWPS University is very modern and fully adapted to the needs of persons with various disabilities. The building has elevators, ramps and restrooms designed especially for persons with disabilities. There is a stairlift next to the cloakroom and the library to enable persons with mobility limitations to reach these areas.
The class schedule is specifically tailored to the needs and capabilities of persons with disabilities.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the University building and is free of charge. There are separate parking spaces for persons with disabilities at the internal car park.
Library
The library includes:
- a desktop magnifier
- a computer workstation equipped with specialised software (screen reader and speech synthesiser) and equipment for converting printed material into electronic form
- brailleSense Plus Qwerty notebook
- portable talking book player (4 pieces) - available for rental
Two of the classrooms (rooms 305 and 203) are equipped with inductophone loops to assist hearing aids with built-in inductophone coils. Students have the opportunity to rent a portable FM system (4 pieces) and a wireless Cros system.
Katowice Campus
The building
The building of SWPS University in Katowice is adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. The class schedule is specifically tailored to the needs and capabilities of persons with disabilities.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the University building and is free of charge. There are separate parking spaces for persons with disabilities at the internal car park.
Library
There is a computer station in the library equipped with a magnifying/speaking application (ZoomText MagReader) and a compatible large-print keyboard.
Sopot Campus
The building
We strive to make the Sopot campus as accessible as possible for persons with disabilities. The building has toilets adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities and, since December 2015, two stairlift platforms. All doors in the building have braille markings and the offices are equipped with a call-hear system to facilitate access for students with mobility limitations. In addition, there is a children's corner and a changing table in one of the toilets.
Parking
The car park is located in front of the University building and is free of charge for all students with moderate and severe disabilities.
Library
A computer workstation equipped with specialised software (screen reader, speech synthesiser, a Daisy book reader) as well as equipment for converting printed material into electronic form is available in the library.
