English philologist specializing in applied linguistics.

His professional interests include computer assisted foreign language teaching, development of teachers’ professional e-learning competences, and cultural determinants of teaching styles. He also researchers the effectiveness of ICT technologies in the education process of teachers, in particular teleworking.

He is a member of the Polish Association of Modern Languages (PTN) and the Polish Association of Applied Linguistics. He is also Vice-President of the Lublin branch of the Polish Association of Modern Languages and a correspondent member of the Lublin Science Association. He holds various editorial positions, such as Editor in Chief of Teaching English with Technology, and Deputy Editor in Chief of Lubelskie Materiały Neofilologiczne [Lublin Modern Languages Papers]. Additinally, he is a member of editorial boards of the following international journals: International Journal of Virtual and Personal Learning Environments (USA), International Journal of English and Literature (Nigeria), and Language Value (Spain).

He is Head of the Professional Certification Program for Teachers of English at SWPS University, where teachers can improve their qualifications or gain additional certifications in teaching English.

Moreover, at SWPS University he teaches methodology of foreign language teaching, theory of foreign language acquisition, assessment of learning outcomes, European language policy, and evaluation of glottodidactic teaching materials.
