Profile

Professor John B. Nezlek is a personality and social psychologist who studies prosociality including the psychology of climate change and the psychology of vegetarianism. An important focus of his work is on the role that values play in prosocial behaviors, for example, how prosocial behaviors and attitudes reflect people’s values. His research on vegetarianism has focused on the vegetarianism as a social identity, including some of the negative consequences people experience because they adopt a vegetarian diet.
