What we researched:
- Geographical, sociocultural, economic, epidemiological, and legal implementation determinants of obesity prevention policies. The crucial elements of the health promotion policy discussed in the article include a healthy diet and active living.
How we did it:
- For this meta-review (#CRD42019133341), the researchers analyzed data and documentation of nine major stakeholders. Context-related determinants were considered strongly supported when they were indicated in ≥60% of the reviews/stakeholder documents. To assess the risk of bias, the researchers used the ROBIS tool and the Methodological Quality Checklist-SP.
Research conclusions:
- The research results indicate that policymakers need to account for the sociocultural, economic, and political contexts while developing implementation plans for the healthy diet and active living policies.
