Best Professional Start for Graduates of Our Psychology Programs

The 2018 data, analyzed by the Polish Graduate Tracking System, indicates that students graduating with degrees in psychology from SWPS University find full time employment within two to four weeks after graduation, and receive the highest remuneration among holders of equivalent degrees from other universities in Poland. Students who graduated with degrees in psychology from SWPS University in Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, and Sopot place at the top in their respective provinces, while graduates from Katowice take the second place. On average, in the first year after graduation, SWPS University alumni earn between EUR 880 to EUR 1,100 gross, per month (the 2020 minimum wage in Poland is EUR 590 per month).

These high scores achieved by our graduates are the result of a unique program of study, an excellent research infrastructure, and expert teaching staff that includes psychologists renowned not only in Poland, but also internationally, and experienced practitioners in the field of psychology and psychotherapy.

The high quality of education has been confirmed by the highest marks achieved in the assessment conducted by the Polish Accreditation Committee, responsible for the quality of education in Poland, and by the annual ranking by Perspektywy, a monthly publication focused on education in Poland, and specializing in school rankings in the country. In the 2020 Perspektywy ranking, SWPS University is among the top three higher education institutions in Poland that offer studies in psychology.

Our students have access to professional research laboratories furnished with state-of-the-art equipment for psychophysiological and behavioral research, including: an eye-tracker, electroencephalograph, and galvanometer as well as the latest software that helps researchers to design, conduct, and analyze psychological tests.

Under the guidance of the best specialists in the country, students conduct numerous research project and apply for research grants that allow them to conduct their own research projects. Therefore, many of our students win Diamond Grants, in the most prestigious funding scheme for young researchers provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Our psychology program is aligned with the European standards of education in the field of psychology. It fulfills the requirements of EuroPsy, the European qualification standard for psychologists, established by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA), which in many countries regulates the profession.

SWPS University offers a variety of programs in Psychology, including an undergraduate program, and four graduate programs in Applied Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Economic Psychology, and Psychology of Global Mobility Inclusion and Diversity in Society.

Economic Psychology - Our two-year, double degree program, offered in cooperation with Tilburg University in the Netherlands, has been designed to provide high quality international education and practical training in the field of economic psychology.

The combination of data analysis and psychological knowledge makes our program unique in the world, as the majority of similar programs focus either on one field or the other. Over the course of the program students learn to apply economic and psychological reasoning to the process of analysis to better understand consumer, consumption and financial behaviors.

Global-MINDS is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Psychology of Global Mobility, Inclusion and Diversity in Society. It is a comprehensive 2- year program, delivered in English, designed to provide high quality international training in scientific knowledge and practical skills in the field of social and cultural psychology. The Global-MINDS program consists of obligatory study and research periods, in at least two universities. It offers two mobile study paths: 1st semester in Warsaw and 2nd semester in Oslo or Istanbul or 1st semester in Lisbon and 2nd semester in Limerick or Oslo.

Thanks to the international component, the breadth of topics, and the combination of theory and practice, the Global-MINDS program in Social and Cultural Psychology is unique among social sciences programs available around the world.
