Mikołaj Rogiński specializes in management sciences. He researches peer production organizations and the impact of new technologies on privacy.
He is also interested in ICT projects and companies as well as practical applications of solutions provided by computer and information sciences in management. He researched communities that develop and use open source software. He is also interested in organizations developing the so-called open knowledge, such as Wikipedia or OpenStreetMap, as well as development paths of new technologies and their impact on organizations and society.
As an analyst, he worked for public administration where he provided analysis required to develop legislation. He also has experience in consulting and providing analysis for other sectors.
His main publication is a book Pomiędzy wolnością a wygodą. Otwarte oprogramowanie w przedsiębiorstwach informatycznych (Between Freedom and Comfort. Open source software in ICT businesses), published by Poltext 2021.
At SWPS University, he teaches classes in concepts of management, project management, digital economy, and ICT in management.
