Rachela Antosz-Rekucka is a psychologist whose research focuses on clinical psychology and the psychology of disorders.
Research Interests
She is particulary interested in:
- Women’s Mental Health: Investigating the underlying mechanisms and risk factors associated with severe premenstrual symptoms.
- Sub-clinical Psychosis: Examining psychotic-like experiences within non-clinical populations to better understand the continuum of mental health.
- Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs): Analyzing the etiology and manifestation of behaviors such as excoriation (compulsive skin picking) and trichotillomania (hair pulling).
- Clinical Application of CBT: Exploring the practical integration and efficacy of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy within clinical settings.
Research Projects
She has carried out various research projects, including "Mediators of the relationship between risk factors and the severity of premenstrual dysphoric disorder and premenstrual syndrome symptoms" (2023).

Professional Activities
As a practicing psychologist, she works with patients in private practice. She is also active in community outreach through her collaboration with the Sztetl Mszana Dolna Foundation, a local organization dedicated to saving the memory of the Jews of Mszana Dolna, a town in southern Poland.
Teaching
At SWPS University, she teaches courses on psychopathology, psychological interviewing, and research methodology.
