We are proud to announce that Lidia Witer, a student in the Asian Studies program at SWPS University, is representing Poland and our university at the world finals of the "Chinese Bridge" language and culture competition.
"Chinese Bridge" – a competition promoting Chinese culture
"Chinese Bridge" is an international competition focused on the Chinese language and culture. Organized since 2002, the event promotes Chinese culture around the world. During the competition, participants give speeches, answer questions about Chinese history and contemporary life, and present short artistic performances.
Our student, Lidia Witer, took first place in the national qualifications, earning her a spot in the final. As part of the competition’s artistic performance in China, she will recite a poem in Chinese by Hai Zi (Zha Haisheng), an iconic Chinese poet of the 1980s. The poem is titled Facing the Sea, with Spring Blossoms. Lidia is also taking part in the other competitions, which test participants’ Chinese language skills and knowledge of Chinese culture.
She is currently ranked second in the world in the global vote for the most popular participant. Congratulations and good luck in the next stage of the competition!
