About
Exchange Program

The mobility of students and faculty at SWPS University (USWPS) is facilitated thanks to the Erasmus+ program and bilateral agreements with selected higher education institutions from the European Union and non-EU countries, which are not part of the Erasmus program.

To be accepted to the exchange program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • have a high Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • demonstrate proven academic achievements
  • speak English, or the the language of the country chosen for the Erasmus exchange, at CEFR B2 level at the minimum (language requirements may vary depending on the program).

Every year, SWPS University welcomes close to 100 students, who come to study in Poland, thanks to various exchange programs. Exchange students can choose from nine different programs, some at the undergraduate (Bachelor's) and some at graduate (Master's) level, at three of our campuses — Warsaw, Wrocław, and Kraków.

The Italian daily, La Repubblica, reports that a survey conducted among international students indicates that Warsaw is one of the best European cities to study and live in, during Erasmus exchange. Poland was also named "the best destination to travel to" by CNN in 2023.

Orientation Week

At the beginning of each semester, SWPS University organizes an Orientation Week, when all exchange students, mentors and members of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Team meet and get to know each other. Additionally, there are numerous opportunities to make new friends and spend time together throughout the academic year.

Multicultural environment

USWPS offers a friendly and multicultural environment, where international students comprise close to 10 percent of our student population. This provides them with many informal opportunities to develop their language, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.

Admission Requirements
for Exchange Students

The following criteria must be fulfilled to become an exchange student at SWPS Unviersity:

  • There should be a bilateral agreement in place between your home university and SWPS University.
  • Your home university should nominate you to be an exchange student and notify the Erasmus Incoming Officer of the SWPS University by the required deadline listed at the top of this page.
  • For non-native speakers of English: you are required to have a good command of the English language (at least CERT B2 level) before you arrive, to be able to follow lectures and pass exams in English. If you are coming to USWPS on an Erasmus exchange, a statement issued by your Erasmus coordinator confirming that your English proficiency meets the exchange requirements is sufficent. We also accept English proficiency certificates such as TOEFL, CAE, and IELTS) or a written statement confirming your English proficiency, written by a lecturer from your home university.

Application
Step by step


While filling in the Application Form, you will need the following documents:
- photo
- completed Learning Agreement
- your English proficiency certificate or statement
- copy of your health insurance policy (e.g. European Health Insurance Card), for the amount of at least EUR 30,000 to cover potential medical costs for the duration of your stay in Poland. The policy must be in English or Polish.

  1. Obtain a student exchange nomination from your university
  2. Wait for an e-mail with a dedicated link to the Application Form, and a list of available classes
  3. From the provided list select preferred classes and add to the Learning Agreement
  4. Upload scans of the required documents to the Application Form and wait for verification
  5. Wait for an e-mail notification confirming your acceptance to the exchange program
