Joanna Dudek, Ph.D. is a psychologist. Her research interests include contextual behavioral science, in particular applications of the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), the quality of life in chronic illness, and eating disorders.
She graduated from the University of Warsaw with a degree in psychology and from the Medical University of Warsaw with a degree in dietetics. She holds a doctoral degree in social sciences from SWPS University’s Interdisciplinary Doctoral School (2017). Her doctoral research focused on determinants of the quality of life in chronically ill women. Additionally, she completed a 2-year Professional Certification Course in Motivational Dialogue and is a certified trainer in this field. She also completed a 4-year certification in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), numerous courses on ACT and FAP therapies. She is a certified FAP trainer and a CBT therapist (certificate no. 1148 issued by the Polish Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (PTTPB)).
She is a member of the Polish Association for Behavioral Psychology, the Polish Association for Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, the Polish Association of Motivational Therapy, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science.
Apart from teaching at SWPS University in Warsaw, she also runs her own psychotherapy practice, and conducts workshops and training sessions on psychotherapy.
