Aleksandra Borek, Ph.D., is a researcher specializing in health psychology, qualitative research methodologies, behavior change, and implementation science. She researches behavior change mechanisms and designs, evaluates and implements behavior change interventions to improve health.
She holds a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of York (UK) and a doctoral degree in health psychology (thesis on behavior change mechanisms in group based health interventions) from the Medical School at the University of Exeter (UK).
For over 7 years, she worked on interdisciplinary projects concerning the optimization of antibiotic use and management of infections at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford.
At SWPS University, she is the Principal Investigator in a research program on prudent antibiotic use and antimicrobial stewardship interventions in Poland, funded by the Polish Returns grant provided by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) and the National Science Centre (NCN).
