Advanced Clinical Studies and Therapy Excellence Center

The Center conducts research under the leadership of Agnieszka Popiel, Ph.D. | Associate Professor, a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and a supervisor of cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Behavioral Neuroscience Lab

The Center carries out basic research on perception, emotion regulation, empathic response, affective and cognitive perspective-taking, sensory processing (especially pain), and states of consciousness.

CARE-BEH Center for Applied Research on Health Behavior and Health

The primary goal of the CARE-BEH team is to develop and evaluate psychological interventions that impact behavior change.

Center for Climate Action and Social Transformations (4CAST)

The Center conducts research on the economic, financial and management processes related to the development, preservation, commemoration and functioning of memorial sites around the world.

The researchers study citizen participation in democratic and political processes, democratic innovations, social movements, as well as political views and attitudes.

Center for Trauma, Crisis and Growth

The researchers develop and verify effective psychotherapy techniques and psychological support for people, who have experienced traumatic events

Creative Economy Research Center

DecisionLab

The goal of the Center is to advance current knowledge about the fundamental human behavioral processes involved in decision making.

East Asian Civilization Research Center

The East Asian Civilization Research Center (CCAW) researches the region of East Asia, in particular the Mainland China as well as Taiwan, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan.

Emotion Cognition Lab

The Emotion Cognition Lab (ECL) focuses on experimental research on cognitive process and emotion regulation in normal psychology and psychopathology.

Eye Tracking Research Center

The Center conducts basic and applied research on gaze capture, human-computer interaction (HCI), including virtual and mixed reality, cognitive psychopathology, and the use of multimedia in education.

Gallery of Graphic Design

Health & Coping Research Group

The team of the Health & Coping Research Group focuses on health psychology, in particular various aspects of coping with prolonged stress.

Laboratory of Affective Neuroscience

The Laboratory of Affective Neuroscience conducts experimental research in the field of cognitive neuroscience and neuroscience of emotions.

Neurocognitive Research Center (NCRC)

The Center researches changes in the brain neuroplasticity in populations exposed to behavior modifying variables, including negative modifications, such as depressive disorders, aging or substance abuse, as well as positive modifications.

Social Behavior Research Center

The Center researches human behavior in various social situations. Some of the research topics undertaken by the researchers include, social impact, morality and lying, pro-health behavior, inclusion and exclusion and mobbing.

Streslab: Stress Research Center

The Center researchers occupational and post-traumatic stress. The researchers develop online psychological interventions and research their efficacy.

Youth Research Center

Youth Research Center, operating under the auspices of SWPS University, carries out interdisciplinary research in the area of youth studies.
