SWPS University's Management Space

The aim of SWPS University's Management Space is to provide high quality educational content on topics related to management. We propose a new approach to management, which takes into consideration the realities of the fast-paced environment, such as: the rapid development of new technologies, breakdown of the current economic model or the omnipresence and mass use of social media. It is high time for a new model of management, which includes not only economic and statistical tools, but also psychology.  A management model where the success of the company is measured not only by the bottom line, but also by the effects of the company's social responsibility. In this model, management is replaced by leadership and the manager, who addresses only the current needs of the company, is replaced by a leader who has a clear vision and who can lead a team in pursuit of this vision.

We have invited psychologists, economists, middle and senior managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of social change, who are associated with our Management and Leadership Program to take part in the project.

The goal of the project is to provide reliable, research-based information on management and leadership, which is available to everyone, regardless of time and place. Our online channels of communication include the Management Space Blog and a discussion group on Facebook, where we present informative materials developed by renowned experts in the field of management.

Lectures and Workshops

Within the framework of SWPS University’s Management Space we offer open lectures and workshops that take place in all campuses of SWPS University, including Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, Sopot and Katowice.

The events are an opportunity to meet renowned psychologists and management experts, who talk about various topics, such as: management and leadership in the rapidly changing environment, business innovation, replacing transactional economy with relationship economy, developing effective internal communications, etc. At the same time, our experts show how psychology and management theory can be applied in practice, for example in business.

Although the topics of lectures vary, they are linked by the research-based approach that management and psychology go hand in hand and separatig them results in poor outcomes for both and most of all for business.
