Description of the research project

The Creative Economy Research Centre at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a subunit of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The research project “Creative Industries Cultural Economy Production Network (CICERONE)”, is funded by the Horizon 2020 program, to be completed by a consortium of nine partners, led by the University of Amsterdam. The project will run for four years (2019-2023) and the position is scheduled to start in early February 2019. The successful applicant will work closely with leading international researchers in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Principal Investigator
  • Active participation in research activities including data analysis and interpretation (contribution to the report based on a case study related to the European publishing sector)
  • Participation in meetings of the research team (including meetings abroad)
  • Organization of the Plenary Meeting in Warsaw

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in cultural studies/ social sciences
  • Current enrolment in a doctoral studies program
  • Interest in creative economy
  • Knowledge of the creative industries sector
  • Working knowledge of research methods, as well as the ability to independently learn new methods of analysis
  • Methodological and scientific maturity
  • Communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivation
  • Knowledge of university processes and structures
  • Knowledge of the labour market related to the creative sector and practical experience of artistic or creative nature would be an asset

Language requirements:

  • Fluency in Polish and English, at least intermediate level in English

  • 12-month, part-time (20% FTE) contract, beginning February 2019
  • Gross salary EUR 200-250, per month

  6. I am entitled to submit a complaint with a supervisory authority in the event that the processing of my personal data is, in my opinion, in violation of the provisions of the GDPR or other regulations on the processing and protection of personal data.
