Openness

The challenges that we face in the 21st century are too complex to be approached and solved only from one perspective. Complex problems require solutions that go beyond the borders of scientific disciplines, approaches or experiences. For us “openness” means interdisciplinary approach, international cooperation, and close relationships with the community and business organizations.

Interdisciplinary Approach

We represent three scientific disciplines: management and quality studies, sociology, and politics, administration and public policy studies.

International Cooperation

Our students and academics have an opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ international exchange programs. SWPS University has signed over 100 cooperation agreements with higher education institutions around the world. At the same time, international students from over 60 countries study at SWPS University.

Community

We are a community of employees, lecturers, students, graduates, and representatives of the local community and business organizations that have been founded on long-standing relationships and collaborations.

Courage

We teach for the future. We not only transfer knowledge, but also develop social and personal competencies, which provide our graduates with a competitive advantage on the contemporary job market, so that they could become initiators and leaders of organizational change.

Active-Learning

We subscribe to active learning through experience and experimentation. Students learn through workshops, group projects, discussions, debates and simulations reflecting the challenges of the contemporary world.

Responsibility

We develop the potential of a modern University by embedding academic work and activities in daily operations of businesses, public institutions and NGOs. Meeting the needs of the contemporary challenging job market, we focus on systemic consequences of actions, which extend beyond the particular short-term interests, and take into consideration the needs of the whole ecosystem.

Internationalization of the Faculty

Internationalization is a cornerstone of our mission. We undertake initiatives that include both collaboration with leading global educational institutions and active participation in international organizations that define global standards in education.

We develop the skills of future leaders within a global environment, providing students with access to international partnerships, prestigious organizations, and accreditation programs that shape world-class educational standards.

Global partnerships and international standards

We participate in the following initiatives and are a member of the following organizations:

• Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) — a United Nations-supported initiative established in 2007. Its goal is to transform business and management education, research, and thought leadership globally by equipping students with the knowledge and skills for a sustainable future. The membership in this initiative enhances our study program by integrating the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and addressing real-world social challenges.
• Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN) — which connects business schools, universities offering management education, and other institutions worldwide. It fosters the exchange of knowledge and expertise between academia and the business sector. The membership provides us with access to a wealth of resources and insights from international partners. The membership also facilitates joint research and training initiatives and helps us enrich our study programs with a global perspective.
• Business Graduates Association (BGA) — an international membership and quality assurance body of some of the most impactful business schools in the world. Membership in the association provides an international platform for collaboration and promotes the highest standards of education.

Quality Initiatives and Accreditations

As part of our internationalization strategy, we consistently pursue accreditation and quality assurance initiatives. In 2025, we submitted our first PRME Sharing Information on Progress report. Preparatory work for further accreditation processes is also currently underway. These efforts strengthen the standing of the Management and Leadership program within the global educational ecosystem, ensuring that students have access to world-class best practices.
