Chinese New Year is celebrated by millions around the globe. This festive period begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese lunar calendar and concludes 15 days later with the vibrant Lantern Festival. It’s a time of family reunions and new beginnings, marked by the influence of one of the twelve animals of the zodiac.
2025 is the Year of the Snake, often regarded as the most mysterious zodiac animal. It represents wisdom, transformation, and growth, promising a year of meaningful change.
Join the Asian Studies Research Club at SWPS University for a festive celebration of Chinese New Year. Discover fascinating traditions, try authentic teas and snacks, and enjoy artistic performances presented by Chinese students. Sun Linjiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Poland, will officially open the event.
