International Leadership and Management: Emerging, Contemporary, and Unorthodox Perspectives

The terms “leadership” and “management” have been defined in many different ways over the years. Perhaps, the multitude of these definitions has contributed to the “theory jungle” identified by Harold Koontz in 1961. A new book, International Leadership and Management: Emerging, Contemporary, and Unorthodox Perspectives, co-authored by researchers from SWPS University, engages in a clarifying discussion and explores new ways of thinking about organizational life and strategy.
New approaches to leadership and management
Authors of the International Leadership and Management, Professor Adam Szpaderski, Wojciech Karczewski, Ph.D. and Katarzyna B. Wojtkiewicz, LL.M., Ph.D. from SWPS University's Faculty of Social Sciences in Warsaw, as well as Piotr M. A. Cywiński, Ph.D., Director of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and Professor Christopher P. Neck, from the Arizona State University discuss cutting edge, conceptual, and empirical developments in the field of leadership and management, and propose them as new points of view on the topic in question. They argue that the discussion of leadership and management should include international perspectives on leadership, memory and responsibility, paradigms, theories, models and tools, styles and attributes, teamwork, diversity, and strategic challenges at a national level.
International Leadership and Management: Emerging, Contemporary, and Unorthodox Perspectives provides exactly what the title promises. While grounded in academic theory and research, it goes beyond traditional organizational perspectives, stretching current boundaries of thinking in ways that can foster an improved understanding of leadership and management. That is why the book is an important read for academics, students, and practitioners who are looking for new perspectives and approaches.
