About the INTERSTUDENT competition
The INTERSTUDENT competition is organized by the "Perspektywy" Education Foundation as part of the "Study in Poland" program, carried out in cooperation with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland. Its goal is to recognize the most outstanding and highly engaged international students studying at Polish universities.
This year, over 200 applications were received from over 55 universities. Among the award-winning students was Fatih Pekcan, a psychology student at SWPS University.

The awards ceremony for the INTERSTUDENT 2026 competition took place on January 29 at the Wieliczka Salt Mine during the "Foreign Students in Poland 2026" conference, hosted by the Jagiellonian University.
Recognized for ambition and commitment
Fatih Pekcan was recognized for his exceptional involvement in academic, organizational, and social activities at our university. The competition jury awarded him an honorable mention in the "Special Award" category.
Fatih has been actively involved in academic and student life since his first year of studies. During his social psychology course, he worked on a research project and authored the section explaining the study’s results. The work currently has over 1,500 views on ResearchGate. He is also the founder of the Major Issues in Psychotherapy and Counseling Student Research Club, which aims to prepare psychology students for the various challenges they may face in their future careers. Fatih established the club, defined its goals and meeting themes, and is responsible for organizing events, managing social media, and coordinating the activities of its members.
