SWPS University has received the Research Impact Leaders Award in the Social Sciences category. This prestigious recognition, granted by Elsevier, recognizes the high quality and international visibility of our research in the field. The award ceremony took place on November 26 during the plenary session of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP).
SWPS University — a leader in social science research
The Research Impact Leaders Awards are prestigious recognitions presented to institutions that boost the international profile of Polish science by excelling in research quality, fostering international collaboration, and enhancing visibility in top academic journals.
In its ninth edition this year, the awards recognized winners across six categories based on the OECD classification: Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences, along with a special award.

SWPS University was awarded in the Social Sciences category. The results were announced at the CRASP plenary session held in Kraków, where Rector of SWPS University Professor Roman Cieślak accepted the award.
Evaluation criteria
The judging panel assessed institutions based on five key impact factors:
- growth in the number of publications
- Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI)
- extent of international collaboration
- number of publications in Top-10 journals
- publications cited in policy documents
