SWPS University is a leading non-public university
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, among students beginning their studies in the 2025/26 academic year, SWPS University was the most frequently chosen non-public university based on the total number of applications for full-time first-cycle and long-cycle master's programs. We received 5,965 applications. The next most frequently chosen private universities in the rankings received 4,587 applications (Kozminski University) and 4,578 applications (WSB University). This result clearly confirms that we are one of the most important research centers and one of the most popular universities in Poland.
The ranking was compiled by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education based on university data collected in the Integrated Information System on Science and Higher Education "POL-on." Among public universities, the University of Warsaw took first place, followed closely by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and the Warsaw University of Technology.
Interestingly, the Ministry of Education also listed the most popular disciplines and fields of study on its website. It turns out that in the ranking based on the total number of applicants for full-time first-cycle and long-cycle master’s programs, psychology — a field closely connected with our university — takes the lead, with 43,562 applications. Medicine comes in second, followed by management and law.
