Who is the Middleman?
The eponymous Middleman assumes many roles as visitors navigate through the symmetrical architecture that forms the exhibition space. He can be a passive observer or an active author bridging abstract concepts and tangible objects, such as drawings, sculptures, and texts. Furthermore, the Middleman is also embodied as a symbolic puppet, manipulated by external forces. Visitors become both witnesses and participants in the ongoing dialogue between the Middleman and his world. The further they move away from the center of the exhibition, the brighter and more detailed it becomes. One might even say that the narrative explodes, and the Middleman is the one who tries to put it back together again, holding the collapsing world with all his might.
Middleman is also the title of the latest book by Honza Zamojski. It is an illustrative and poetic attempt to describe the Middleman, his everyday life, and the reality surrounding him. The book will be published by Nero Editions (a publishing house based in Italy specializing in artists' books, collections, and catalogs) in May.
Simple in form, yet rich in content
Honza Zamojski's unique style combines minimalist forms with meaningful symbols, abstract compositions, and figurative representations. His visual language follows its own grammatical rules and structure, unifying seemingly disparate elements with simplicity and often a touch of humor or irony.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors can also view Nero's Publishing Experimentation titled Can it be tried somewhere?
