SWPS University continues to excel in internationalization, securing the top position in Poland in the "International Outlook" category. This category evaluates universities based on several indicators, including the presence of foreign students and staff, student participation in international exchanges, and international co-authorship in research publications. SWPS University boasts a commendable 48% of its research publications featuring at least one foreign co-author, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative and globally relevant research.
Commitment to research quality
SWPS University strives to maintain high standards of research, which is reflected by our high standing in the research quality category, in the 2024 ranking. In this category, we achieved a noteworthy fifth place among Polish universities. The evaluation of research quality takes into account various vital performance indicators, such as the number of publications by university researchers and their impact through citations. We take great pride in gaining international recognition for the exceptional quality of research conducted on our campus.
SWPS University in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024
SWPS University stands out as the sole non-public university among the 37 Polish higher education institutions (up from 34 last year), which have qualified for this year's THE World University Rankings.
We secured the third position in Poland, sharing this esteemed place with nine other universities. Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw, and Wroclaw Medical University, were ranked at the top, while the Medical University of Lodz earned the second spot.
Overall, SWPS University once again has placed between 1001 and 1200, emphasizing its global presence. This year, the rankings evaluated more than 100 additional universities, further highlighting the competitiveness of the global academic landscape.
