SWPS University and the University of Warsaw joined forces to organize the “China in Contemporary International Relations” conference. Sinologists from around the world gathered in Warsaw on June 23rd and 24th to discuss a variety of issues regarding the Middle Kingdom, including Chinese political traditions and the consequences of China’s rise for liberal democracies. The rise of China and its impact on international affairs have been the focus of numerous publications and academic debates around the world. This Conference provided a platform for a debate on topics reaching beyond the intellectual boundaries of well-established theories and mainstream academic discourse.
