Following a joint agreement between the President of Tischner European University (TEU) in Kraków and the leadership of SWPS University, the two institutions have begun a process of gradual integration, which in a few years, will result in TEU becoming the 6th location of SWPS University. These changes will provide new opportunities for faculty, students, and partners of both institutions.
Ownership and management changes at Tischner European University
In search of new development opportunities, the President of TEU approached the founder and the leadership of SWPS University with a proposition of cooperation. The parties have come to an agreement, which will govern gradual changes concerning the ownership and management of TEU.
As a result, SWPS University will take control over the European Certification Center (ECC) company (Europejskie Centrum Certyfikacji Sp. z o.o.), which fulfills the formal role of TEU’s founder*. The Rector of SWPS University, Professor Roman Cieślak, will hold the position of President of ECC, while Dr. Ewa Ger, Director General of SWPS University, and Piotr Voelker, the Founder of SWPS University, will be Vice-Presidents.

Gradual integration of TEU and SWPS University
Representatives of SWPS University will shortly hold meetings with the authorities and the faculty of TEU to discuss the details of the merger and determine the conditions of mutual cooperation.
Moreover, both institutions plan to prepare a joint educational offer, encourage cooperation in scientific and artistic disciplines represented at both universities, and launch professional development projects for their employees.
TEU’s education offer remains the same in 2022/2023
The ongoing integration of the two universities will not affect the TEU’s education offer in the upcoming academic year, and students will begin their programs as planned.
