Working together as ERUA partners
In early June, the Rector of SWPS University, Roman Cieślak, welcomed a delegation of academics from Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) in Vilnius at SWPS University campus in Warsaw. The Lithuanian delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė, Rector of MRU.
The rectors of both universities, deans , and heads of administrative departments shared their academic and management experience. They also discussed challenges, which higher education institutions face nowadays, and opportunities for cross-university cooperation.
We are impressed by the strategy and vision for the development of Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius and the university's extensive cooperation with international partners. We share the commitment to build strong alliances and deep relationships with the community. We believe that we can learn a lot from each other and look forward to our close cooperation as partners within the European Reform Universities Alliance.

Prof. Dr. Žalėnienė noted that the partnership between the universities, especially in the context of expanding cooperation within the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), looked very promising. We share a common view that teaching and research must be even more oriented towards the progress of the society, which is impossible without a deeper understanding of human and social development in an era of dynamic social changes and new technologies. Therefore, social sciences and humanities have an important role to play in contributing to the sustainable development of society.
The visit to SWPS University allowed us to deepen cooperation with our long-standing partner, share best practices and agree on further strategic cooperation activities.
