Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Adam Bodnar Appointed Minister of Justice in Poland

We are proud to announce that, as of December 13, 2023, Professor Adam Bodnar, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Warsaw at SWPS University, has been appointed Minister of Justice of the Republic of Poland.

The new Minister of Justice – upholding the Rule of Law and Human Rights

Professor Adam Bodnar, a senator and the former Dean of the Faculty of Law in Warsaw, on December 13, 2023, was sworn as the head of the Ministry of Justice.

While taking office, the new minister said:

During the swearing-in ceremony, I, similarly to other ministers in the Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government, charted the course for the Office of the Minister of Justice. Adherence to the Constitution and other laws of the Republic of Poland, ensuring that human and civic rights and freedoms are protected, restoring the rule of law, Poland's return to the group of loyal European Union member states, and, above all, the prosperity and well-being of Poles – these will be the most important values guiding the Ministry of Justice.
