Quality management in the age of artificial intelligence

AI is rapidly becoming a practical tool that can revolutionize quality management. It can identify product defects, predict manufacturing outcomes, and optimize supply chains, all of which can significantly enhance quality while reducing costs and production time. With advanced data analysis algorithms, AI systems can detect subtle anomalies that the human eye might miss, making quality management more precise and efficient than ever before.

AI-based solutions are transforming various processes, enhancing their quality, and contributing to organizational excellence. However, this requires proper design based on scientific data and expert knowledge.

For the upcoming HumanTech Meeting, we have partnered with the "AI: Game Changer 2024" initiative to explore the critical aspects of transforming quality management through artificial intelligence.

Dr. Konrad Maj, head of SWPS University's HumanTech Center, and D.Eng. Piotr Senkus, an AI expert from the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Economics Department of Management and Information Technology, are organizing this event. They have curated a lineup of esteemed speakers, including Colin W.P. Lewis from the University of Warsaw and Jacek Ostrowski from Nutropharma, who will share their invaluable perspectives and experiences in using AI to ensure the highest quality of products and services.

The discussion panel following the lectures will tackle critical questions about AI's impact on quality management. For instance, how can AI technologies help reduce production errors and enhance product quality? Can AI-based systems revolutionize real-time quality supervision and control? What challenges are associated with integrating AI into existing quality management systems across different industries? Join us to explore real-world case studies and learn from experts in the field of AI-driven quality management.

The event will be conducted in English. It will take place in a hybrid format, both online and at Nutropharma Factory in Lesznowola.

HumanTech Meetings

We live in an era of innovation, technological progress and digitalization. This current innovation drive may lead to unpredictable psychological and social outcomes. Therefore, it is crucial to establish collaborations between engineers, programmers, IT specialists and social scientists during initial phases of any new projects related to development of new technologies or services. Such collaborations may help to avoid mistakes and can support better development of new ideas.

The project is planned as a series of meetings, gathering academics and professionals from the technology sector from Poland and other countries. Each meeting will include two lectures, one delivered by a speaker from Poland and one presented by a guest from another country. The lectures will be followed by panel discussions, where panelists will represent different approaches to innovation and technology.

HumanTech Meetings is a project of SWPS University's Center for Social and Technological Innovation.

  1. Colin W.P. Lewis – The AI Quality Management Framework: Revolutionizing Products, Services, and Systems

The presentation will focus on transforming quality management processes using artificial intelligence, which seamlessly integrates trust into the design, development, use, and evaluation of AI products, services, and systems. We will delve into the concept of Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF)—a cutting-edge technique with the potential to revolutionize quality management by 2024. We will learn how RLHF can create AI systems that are not only harmless and helpful but also honest. The presentation will provide a comprehensive look at how AI is transforming the quality management landscape within organizations, enhancing their reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

  2. Jacek Ostrowski – The Future of Quality Management: AI Innovations at Nutropharma

The presentation will discuss the innovative Nutropharma Quality System (NQS), which utilizes AI to ensure the highest standards are met at every stage, from supplier qualification to the final product release. Examples of AI-powered projects at Nutropharma will be presented, including Raw Material Risk Analysis for efficient supply chain risk management and Raw Material Inventory Optimization to reduce waste and optimize production costs. The lecture will illustrate how AI is revolutionizing quality management in the pharmaceutical industry, streamlining processes, and improving health outcomes.
