Thanks to the newly-established cooperation between SWPS University and the British Council in Poland, students and graduates of our English Studies programs now have an opportunity to participate in courses and obtain CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualifications. CELTA is the most known English teaching qualification in the world and is often recognized by employers as confirmation of language skills.
New opportunities for our students
The cooperation between SWPS University and the British Council opens new career paths for SWPS University English Studies students and graduates. Following the agreement, the British Council will run a CELTA course for students who have chosen the teaching track. The course has been approved by the Cambridge English Language Assessment organization, which is part of the University of Cambridge. Candidates who obtain the Certificate can pursue employment as teachers of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) around the world.
Learn more about CELTA

SWPS University celebrated the official signing of the agreement on December 5. The event was attended by Steve Brewin (Cambridge Tutor & Assessor at the British Council), Dr. Agnieszka Gadomska (Head of the Department of English Studies at SWPS University), Professor Marcin Jacoby (Dean of the Faculty of Humanities in Warsaw), Colm McGivern (Director of the British Council in Poland) and Sylwia Maciaszczyk, Ph.D. / Assistant Professor (Department of English Studies), who was the initiator of the cooperation.
