Angelika Friedrich proves that age is no barrier to making a difference. Despite being a full-time student, she volunteers for several organizations, including Amnesty International, The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Polish Humanitarian Action, Youth Strike for Climate, and the Ranking of LGBTQ+ Friendly Schools in Poland.
Balancing her educational responsibilities, Angelika also actively participates in student organizations and research clubs at the Faculty of Psychology in Katowice. She organizes webinars, workshops, and student conferences. Since October, she has been a member of a team developing the RESQL System, a mobile app designed to prevent peer violence in schools.
However, her proudest achievement is the Teenage Refuge campaign (Polish: Nastoletni Azyl), which she created in 2018. What started as an autotherapy blog grew into a website for teenagers with educational content on mental health and combating eating disorders. The website has over 6,600 fans on Facebook, and #nastoletniazyl broke 2 million views on TikTok in January.
Angelika aims to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and advocate for the improvement of child and adolescent psychiatry in Poland. In addition to being active on social media, she organizes social campaigns and cooperates with non-governmental organizations.
Young people who make a difference
This year marks the fifth edition of the "25 under 25" competition. The semifinals included two students from our Faculty of Psychology in Katowice, Angelika Friedrich and Noemi Krauze. The jury selected finalists in five categories:

Participating in "25 under 25" provides a chance to meet inspiring people, build a network of contacts, and further develop and implement original initiatives.
